Exhale: seven days in the forest. Nothing to fix. Nothing to prove. You've been holding it together for a long time. The exhaustion has settled in, the days feel grey, or the person you love feels further away than they used to. You don't need another plan to optimize your life. You need to stop, and you need somewhere gentle to do it. Deep in a quiet forest in a small village Stari Glog in Zagreb County, Croatia, we host small seven-day retreats for people who are burnt out, feeling low, or working through hard times in their relationships. There are only five mirrored houses, so there are never more than a handful of you. No crowds, no schedule you have to keep, and no one asking you to perform.

I’m currently recovering from surgery, so I was nervous about going away. RainYoga’s gentle yoga retreat in the UK Surry countryside, however turned out to be the best thing my partner and I could have done. From the moment we arrived, surrounded by rolling hills and soft morning mist, I felt my body and mind begin to settle. The sessions were calm, unhurried, and kind to my body. There was no pressure to push or keep up, and our teacher, Rain, offered thoughtful adjustments so I could move at my own pace and feel safe doing it. I started RainYoga’s online yin class on a bit of a whim, and now it’s the one thing in my week I really don’t want to miss. I just roll out my mat in the living room, log on, and for an hour everything else kind of falls away. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure yin would be for me. But Rain makes it so easy. She talks you through each pose in a calm, clear way, and she’s always reminding you to do whatever feels right for your body, which I really appreciate. It never feels like a “class” in the stressful sense. I always finish feeling lighter, and I’ve noticed I’m sleeping better on the days I go. It’s become a little reset button for me. If you’ve been thinking about trying it, just do it.
